Hayden loves avocado!

Hayden tried avocado tonight for the first time, and boy, what a reaction! As you can see from the video, she got very excited about it. :)

Hayden is 5 months old!

I'm a little behind (again!) in posting, but Hayden turned 5 months last weekend. Wow - going by so fast! The good news is that she is slowly starting to sleep better again - we had a rough month where she decided that sleeping at night was not her thing! But things are looking up a bit, and we're all getting a little bit more sleep - though we'd always like more!

Hayden is still so much fun, we love her to death - she always has the biggest smiles for us. She can go from crying to smiling in one second, and she pretty much always wakes up with a huge grin on her face - even if she was awoken by her loud sister getting in her face. :) She does love to scream though - not crying, just screaming loudly, probably to be heard above her chatty sister. This past month she has started 'talking' with lots of da-da's and ma-ma's and she loves to play with her babydoll, but above all else, she has been DROOLING!! We are anxiously awaiting those first teeth, because she is constantly drooling like a faucet.

Here's Emmie at 5 months to compare!

Hayden tries cereal

To celebrate turning 5 months, Hayden had her first taste of rice cereal this past weekend. She didn't seem to love or hate it, really could have just cared less about it! Mostly, she just wanted to eat the spoon.

Princesses and fairies, Mickey and Minnie ...

We took Emmie on her first trip to Disneyland this past weekend, and what a fun trip it was! We are all exhausted, but we had a great time, and Emmie still can't believe she actually got to meet Cinderella, Snow White and Tinkerbell. She is already talking about "when we go back next year." I think we created a monster!

At the airport, all ready to go!

Being a goofball in Toontown.

She was not exactly cooperative in taking pics during the trip!

Mom and Emmie riding the Teacups!

Meeting Tinkerbell (note Emmie's Tinkerbell t-shirt - she's not obsessed!)

The two Snow Whites - all the little girls wear their princess dresses at Disneyland.

Discussing with the fairy Silvermist how to make dew drops.

Emmie and Princess Minnie! She thought it was sooo funny that Minnie was dressed as a princess.

I know she doesn't look happpy here, but this look on her face is a result of being so overwhelmed and awestruck because she couldn't believe she was actually meeting Cinderella!

Bus ride!

Mommy needed a break last weekend, so Nate took Emmie for a fun Sunday afternoon activity - they rode the Metro bus to Seattle! Might seem a bit odd, but Emmie loooves to ride the bus, and she and daddy have a great time talking about all the things they see along the way. Hayden and I hung out at home and relaxed - she loves her big sister, but I think she also appreciates the quiet time when Emmie is not always in her face! :)

Random Friday night fun

We found ourselves with a rare Friday night where we had no plans whatsoever and were a little bored - so Emmie picked out her own outfit that she was quite proud of and off we went to the mall to play!
